It's been a while since I have posted anything about a dream closet. Well here I am again. I am very weird about new beginnings and being that the new year is coming up, I am going to make sure that my house is clean and organized before 1/1/12 arrives. If only I could give my closet a complete renovation! If I could I would definitely give Hubby his own space (since I am already monopolizing our closet, it's only right) and make my baby girl's closet Princess Perfection.
In a Perfect World....this is what it would look like.
I can't believe there are only 5 days left until Christmas! I am getting the family ready for a trip to Pennsylvania to see my Pop (my father-in-law) for the holidays. Since the weather in NC has been falling between 50 and 60 degrees the last couple of days, I am trying to wrap my head around the fact that it is going to be significantly colder and that there will most likely be snow on the ground. But mostly, I am trying to figure out what to wear!!!! I will probably go with my go to cold weather boots and jeans paired with some type of top and covered with my heavy brown coat (that makes me look like a bear) and scarf. Not very glamorous, but I will be warm!!!
Although I love the Christmas holidays and everything that they mean, Winter is definitely my least favorite season and I cannot wait to get back into Spring/Summer/Fall! Especially fall. I love the crispness in the air and the beauty of the changing leaves and seeing boots and jackets and rich colors like teal, mustard, orange, red, brown, and plum making their way back out onto the retail floors. With fall on my mind, I was doing my daily perusing and found myself at Style.com drooling daydreaming about the Perfection that is Rachel Zoe's Pre-Fall 2012 Collection. It is EVERYTHING!
I can't take it....those of you who know me know that I cry at the smallest things...whether I am upset or overflowing with joy. Looking at this, I am both. Upset that there is such a long time before fall and overflowing with joy over this amazingly beautiful collection.
Good Morning Darlings! With two weeks left in 2011, I have started focusing on those things I want to change in 2012. One thing I definitely need to learn to do is embrace my present self. It sounds very Oprah-ish I know, but there are a lot of things about me that I would like to change and that I am honestly ashamed of. I won't get into the specifics right now, but I know that in 2012 I really want to fall in love with the person I am now, not the person I plan on being after I reach all my goals. I pray that you are in love with the person you are right at this very moment and if not make it a point to fall in love with yourself too.
But if you don't know anything else. Know that I love you!!!
This has been the strangest week. For some reason I have just been off. I work at a university and since the students are away on holiday break, it has been kind of slow in the office. But T.G.I.F!!! We are having a great holiday in my office! I have said it before and I will say it again, it is a beautiful thing when you can really love the people you work with! We had a floating brunch in our office today. I made an amazing egg salad and bought some cheesecake brownies from out neighborhood bakery...aptly named "Delicious."
A Portion of our holiday spread

My Amazingly Gorgeous Daughter
I just adore that last photo. She is just so beautiful inside and out. You can't see but under her cape is a Little Marc Jacobs shirt courtesy of my best friend Cindy. She thought she was so cute. I just pray that the Lord continues to keep Ms. Naomi Sinclair growing into a pleasant and well-mannered little girl and allow me to be a good mother and role model for her. Enough of that...
I hope you all are having a wonderful Friday and have an even better weekend!
So I really like the Kardashian Klan. No matter how much drama (real or fake) they have, they stick together. And let's face it, they are quite a beautiful family. Even with all the glam of the famous family, I think the best thing they have going for them right now is that adorable little prince Mason. Today the little guy turns 2 and is already a style icon.
Good Morning Darlings! Sorry about not posting yesterday, circumstances prevented it. I hope everyone's Monday started off well and I just wanted to give you this piece to take with you on this day before hump day.
I absolutely adore this skirt by Anthropologie! In a Perfect World this is how I would wear it. I thought about pairing it with a black shirt and gold accessories, but loved the light pink band and decided to wrap my head around those colors. Soft and ladylike, perfection.
I love these quotes. I usually see them at Barnes & Noble when I am checking out. I make it a game to read as many of them as possible before I get to the register...is that lame? Probably but I don't care...everybody has their thing...
Happy First of December!!! I missed you all yesterday! I have some friends in town and spent the entire day running around with them. Obviously, no time to post! I am back now and am in the Christmas Spirit full force!!! Upon returning from Thanksgiving, we broke out the decorations in my office and it is looking quite festive! We are having a pink and black Christmas!
I am most excited for the upcoming weekends, North Carolina is so beautiful during the holidays and there are so many sights to see. We are going to try to hit as many as we can.
Asheville Christmas Village
The Biltmore Christmas Tree
Snow Covered Ashville Streets
The Candy Factory in Lexington, NC
The Candy Factory
Can you imagine letting Naomi loose in The Candy Factory!? Absolute mayhem!!! I am so excited about all the great old fashion candy that would be great gifts and stocking stuffers.
All this plus just driving through Greensboro neighborhoods and looking at all the lights will be enough to keep me excited for the next 25 days!
Do you have any favorite holiday sites that really get you in the Holiday Spirit?
