Rosario Dawson in J. Mendel

Images via FabSugar.com
I am dying for Rosario's dress. The fresh pastel yellow is making me crave Spring even more than the dreary weather we have been experiencing the last week (minus the tease of sunshine this weekend). When I saw her walk on stage with this piece on I LIVED!!! Amazing!!! Who was your favorite from last night's ceremony?

Check Us Out

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!!! The weather is beautiful in Greensboro and we just had to get out today. Here are some photos of me and Naomi before we went to lunch.

I wore a Liz Claiborne top, ASOS Jeans and wedges, Marc Jacobs Shades, and Forever21 bag

Till I'm Satisfied

Every year is always the same. December comes around and I realize that all the resolutions I made the previous January have been pushed back so far that another year has crept up and nothing has been accomplished. After 27 years of this discouraging repetition, you would think that I would turn into a New Year's Resolutions are made to be broken kind of people. But I'm not. I am the forever optimist and will always have room to grow and be a better me.

Number one on that continuous list of resolutions is losing weight and now that I am almost 2 years into being a Mommy it is more pressing than ever. About now I have had a really good two weeks (my new year doesn't start until the 2nd week of January because my birthday is on the 7th and it is better to wait until after the festivities) and am getting tired of the routine I have created for myself and want some real food. This year will be different! Here are a couple of ways I plan on making it through the year successful and hopefully skinnier.

1. ZUMBA! The best and most fun workout I have every done!

2. Pandora's Workout Plan Radio

3. LIVESTRONG. com- The MyPlate feature helps me track my calories daily

4. Avia A1433- Voted Best Shoe for Cross Training by Fitness Magazine

5. A sufficient supply of basic leggings (black and gray) $6.00 at Target

These plus the will power I pray for daily WILL get me the results I am looking for. If they don't I will Do It Till I'm Satisfied!!! I hope that whatever you have set out to do this year you see it through to the best of your ability!!! I will keep you posted on my progress if you keep me posted on yours!

Sign Me Up

If you saw my house, you would notice the collection of Elle, Vogue, and InStyle sprinkled on night stands, coffee tables, and desks. Usually before I go out and buy a magazine I will wander to it's website for a preview. In today's meandering, I ended up on the Astrology page on Elle.com, curious to see if they had switched over to the New Zodiac Chart. According to the New Chart I am no longer a Capricorn...I am a Sagittarius.

I remembered the piece Joe Zee and Astrologist Susan Miller did in the November issue about zodiac specific style and I wanted to do a quick compare/contrast.

Susan’s Take: Fresh-faced and natural, Sagittarius prefers elegant, relaxed, and unpretentious clothing that allows for ease and speed—she’s on the go!
Joe’s Take: I’m a Sagittarius and always rushing from place to place (or plane to plane), so I have to be ready to roll at all times. Like PR assistant Emily Gambir, I never want to look too done up. Emily’s classic trench, white T-shirt, and black leather pants (all of which I also own, minus the leather) get her where she needs to go without drowning her out. Sag has enough to say without her clothes speaking too.

Susan’s Take: Capricorn’s look is well-bred, understated. Like Prada’s New York City store manager Chi Kim, Capricorns always manage to look like they come from wealth—the old-money kind—even if they don’t.
Joe’s Take: There’s a silent-killer quality with a Capricorn. She’s grounded, secure, practical. There’s not a lot of fuss in her style, but it’s never sloppy or drab; a true Cap will put an intelligent spin on the simplest basic. For Chi, we paired a simple fitted top (nipped jacket, men’s shirt), with high-waisted jersey harem pants—a little twist that makes a big difference.

From the looks of it Sagittarius and Capricorn are about the same except that Sagittarius has a bit more edge to her. I think I might be both. Depending on the day. What say you? What sign or signs (old or new) do you relate to?

Le Petite Mode

I am soooo in love. My 22 month old daughter Naomi is the light of my life and makes me so extremely happy!!! She is just so adorable and I throw myself into her everyday of my life. I know it is wrong to look at her as a little doll but she is. I love dressing her up and making her look beautiful because she is just SO WONDERFULLY ADORABLE!!! Look forward to seeing much more of her!

Procrastinators Anonymous

In this blog I want to be completely honest with my readers (however mini they may be). For a while now I have been wanting to do an outfit post but never had anyone to take the photos or when photos were taken, didn't like them. I understand that when posting outfit photos you have to make sure they are quality and don't look homemade but I can only do so much with what I am given.

So with my disclaimer out of the way and all excuses for my procrastination void, this is one of my favorite outfits. The shirt is a go to for comfort and style. The silk with make this a definite transition piece from winter to spring.

So there you have it. This is me Jasmine Sinclair in a couple of staples from my closet. There will be more professional looking posts to come. Please for those who are more seasoned at this than I comment and leave pointers! I can take all the help I can get!!!

Happy New Year!

I hope that everyone had an amazing holiday season. Mine was full of good food and family. Oh yeah and work. With all the working I did I was too tired to do much shopping but when I did I bought the most amazing pair of Marc Jacobs shades. I can't wait to rock them in the 2011!

2011 is in full force and I am SUPER excited about what this year has to bring!
