Hello all!!! I hope everyone had as relaxing of a weekend as I did! It's always the best in Pennsylvania at Pop's house! Great company, good food, relaxing atmosphere, and someone else for Naomi to focus her attention!
Leaving me room to indulge in the world of Christian Grey.....Oh My!
I had no idea that this was an erotic fiction, but from the first line I couldn't put it down! I started Fifty Shades of Grey on Saturday afternoon, and just finished Fifty Shades Darker 10 minutes ago(yes I'm at work)...all I know is I have been laughing and crying and pissed the hell off and I am tired. I can't imagine how Anastasia felt! I guess that is the Christian effect, well she stayed and so am I! Guess I better pick up Freed on the way home!
If you have read these amazing books, you know that there is talk about a movie and many speculations have been floating as to who will play the duo of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. Here are my picks!
Perfect....but little Rory Gilmore would definitely have to prove herself worthy! Who are your picks? What?! You haven't read it yet? Well, turn off your computer and get to the book store!!!!
Hello Loves! Guess What?! We made it! It's Friday! TGIF! It's the Weekend Baby, and a 3-day weekend at that!!!! Who is excited as I am?! Well darlings, I hope that everyone's weekend plans turn out as wonderful as expected and wish safe travels and festivities!
A couple of things that made my heart skip a beat this week!
Set up for a manicure, after a bit of a rough Monday
Some colorful new additions to my nail polish collection
Working on my accessories game. The Buried Bauble from a couple of weeks ago. Bracelets~BaubleBar:: Watch~Tourneau:: Custom Wedding Band by Hubby
Am I the only person who looks forward to Friday's just because of the Buried Bauble?? I love it! They have such great pieces for only $10!!! I guess it's the trill of the hunt. Who's ready?!
Anh has truly been my Muse for the week. Her chic work wear has be yearning for some wardrobe additions to make my office ensembles more interesting, versatile, and attractive. I have said it before and I will say it again, If I have to work I want to do it looking (therefore feeling) my absolute best.
A little inspiration for those of you who feel the same.
So much of the time I feel like I would be better dressed if my circumstances (location, size, income) were different. I am not sure if I am using that as an excuse or if it is a legitimate issue that other people are having, so I am asking you.
How, if at all, do your circumstances affect your personal style? And how do you overcome those obstacles to achieve a bangin' wardrobe in spite of?
Hi all!!! I hope you all are making
through the week wonderfully! Today is Wellness Wednesday and I want to
talk about my Workout Wear Wishlist. Smack dab in the middle of Spring
with Summer quickly approaching, wardrobe adjustments are quickly being
made, but what about our gym wear? Shall we be forced to workout in the same gym clothes from our massive this-years-resolution-will-happen spree in
January? I don't know about you, but working out is not something I want
to do looking a mess! I need a great looking outfit to take the
attention away from the unattractive facial expressions and sweat
I mean what better motivator is there than a cute outfit to show off!!!
Here are a couple of outfits that would keep me looking good on the grind!
Happy Monday Loves! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Finally back into the swing of things after my Mother's Day New Orleans Trip. Most of the time I am thinking a million things at once and trying to make it all fit. Frankly, all that mental energy is exhausting and can make things more frustrating.
If anyone of you reading experiences the same thing, you might need to be reminded that...
I am so excited about this weekend at home! Last weekend I went to visit my mommy in New Orleans for Mother's Day. After the 13 hour drive there and back (yes a whopping 26 hours) and no break before going back to work, my house needs some TLC and I really need a nap! This low key weekend is definitely in order...hopefully Naomi will be a relaxed as I need her to be...
Hubby and I have been talking about buying a house for a while and now we are finally getting to it. We are looking at a number of different options, buying vs. renovating vs. building but all I can think about it how I am going to decorate!!! Ooops, I mean we.
All day I have been looking for decorating inspiration. Pinterest is wonderful for home decor!!! Here is what I have come up with so far...
Chef's Kitchen with Hidden Pantry
Open Kitchen/Living Room Concept
Modern Living Room with Clean Lines
Dream Room for my Baby Girl
Master Bathroom Vanity
Master Bedroom Sitting Area
Main Entry Foyer
Mirrored Jewelry Closet
We always say we want to make our house somewhere we want to be. This is definitely where we want to be!!! I look forward to keeping you posted on our house hunting...exciting yet daunting at the same time.
Happy Wednesday Loves!!! Some recent events in my family have caused me to think about all the ways we take our health for granted. We don't realize how important our lives are until they are threatened when aches, pains, and ailments catch our attention. It is so important that we are always mindful of how we are treating our bodies and what we put into them. Thankfully we were created with a body that will not hesitate to sit us down when we have been mistreating it. Otherwise, people might be dropping dead left and right because there was no warning that something was wrong.
So how do we stay in tune with what is happening on the inside? How do we change the way we are (or aren't) taking care of our bodies? In my opinion, it must first become a mind change. Once your mind is changed, then you are ready to take on the responsibility of actively changing to healthier habits and lifestyle. Of course I am not saying go on a crash diet and exercise 6 hours a day, because really who had that kind of time unless you are on NBC? Small things like cutting portions in half and removing 100 calories a day from your diet can make huge improvements to your overall well-being. One of my favorite online wellness resources, Fitness Magazine outlines some ways to do just that.
Even in the midst of your life, which has a tendency to overshadow our goals as it "goes on."
Hi Lovies!!! I started From Jasmine With Love as a way to share the things I love with whomever is interested and also a way to reach out and speak to people who share the same interests as myself. I have spent the last 2-3 years putting feelers out and trying to find my place, but the one thing I haven't done is what I started this blog for in the first place. Learn more about you, my reader.
I am so completely grateful for everyone of you who read and comment on a daily basis. I love each and everyone of you individually and want to know who you are and the things you love. Leave a comment below or @JazzieSinclair telling me about yourself. If you have a blog link, business, website or just wanna tell me something special about yourself! I am all ears! I love meeting new people so why not start here!!!
A couple nights ago, the Hubs brought home this month's issue of Ebony magazine, with none other than First Lady Michelle Obama gracing the cover. It is no secret that I think she is the most amazing First Lady we've had since I can remember. She shines of grace and poise inside and out. I flipped straight to her article and it was all about her healthy living habits and initiative on childhood obesity, Let's Move. After reading, it made me love her more. I realized that everyone goes through the same struggles, even the First Lady and all her perfection. You just have to know how to cut back on the small things and it will produce big changes.
Here is a little bit of information on Let's Move.
